As Team Lead Operations, you will lead a team of 15–20 operators to achieve unit production priorities, collaborate with Production Unit Teams to resolve operational issues and identify continuous improvement opportunities, and ensure a strong focus on worker health and safety, as well as environmentally responsible and reliable operations at the Sarnia refinery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in process or refinery operations
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor personnel in operations and emergency preparedness
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and develop a team of operators within assigned refinery zone
  • Promote collaboration and an inclusive, respectful work environment
  • Drive operational discipline and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate and execute daily and monthly production and maintenance plans
  • Assess operator qualifications and monitor training compliance
  • Manage performance and development of a unionized workforce
  • Lead incident command, emergency response, and investigations

Location and other Key Details:

  • Salary rate: $130,000-$150,000 annually
  • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
  • The shift schedule is a three days on, three days off, three nights on, three nights off; 12-hour shift
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
