Discover What’s Possible, With Westland. As a Quality Assurance Analyst , you’re a natural problem solver and think outside the box! You are responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications and systems, specifically Acturis. You will prepare, execute, analyze and report on the testing of Acturis, software, products, or services following defined quality assurance standards and processes. You will work closely with the Product Manager, Project Managers, business representatives, vendors, and other QA and IT resources. This is a hybrid position if you are based in Greater Vancouver. There will be an opportunity to work fully remotely if you are based outside of BC.

Why We’ll Love You

  • You are an experienced Insurance Advisor (either Commercial or Personal Lines) and are looking to apply this knowledge to develop and implement testing plans
  • You have a good understanding and knowledge of the Acturis system for all areas of the business
  • You think of yourself as a troubleshooter. You are curious, analytical, and get excited about making improvements
  • You are organized and detail-oriented
  • You possess strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate a high degree of initiative
  • Bonus: You have a QA certification and have experience performing structured system or platform testing

Once Here, You'll Learn To

  • Perform QA testing services for Acturis and potentially other systems as new projects arise
  • Create test artifacts not limited to requirements traceability matrix, test plans, test scenarios, test datasets, and test scripts
  • Coordinate, execute, and re-execute all required manual or automated tests
  • Analyze and troubleshoot test results, triage, and manage defects to resolution and produce test reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, project managers, and business resources to ensure quality throughout the software development cycle
  • Attend or facilitate relevant testing meetings to provide input, feedback, and guidance
