Finning is seeking a strategic and results-driven Product and Service Sales Manager to lead our dynamic sales and marketing team. About The Role As the Product and Service Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that align with Finning’s business objectives. You will lead a high-performing team, mentor future leaders, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions to our customers in the energy and industrial sectors.
Your scope will include:
- Well Services: Driving sales of equipment and services tailored to hydraulic fracturing, coiled tubing, cementing, and pressure pumping operations. You will work closely with customers to understand operational challenges and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that enhance uptime and efficiency.
- Drilling: Supporting both surface and directional drilling operations with power systems, maintenance services, and parts solutions. You will help customers optimize rig performance and reduce non-productive time through proactive service planning and product support.
You will also be instrumental in expanding Finning’s market presence, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across Alberta and Western Canada.

Job Description: A Day in the Life
- As the senior customer-facing representative, the manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and customers. They interact directly with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure their satisfaction with the company's products and services.
- The manager is accountable for driving profitable sales growth for the parts and service divisions. They work on developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Achieving and surpassing sales targets is a key goal for this role.
- Apart from focusing on customers, the manager is also responsible for maintaining a motivated and engaged sales team. They provide leadership, mentorship, and support to their team members to help them reach their goals and enhance overall team performance.
- Given the complexities of the sales and marketing landscape, the manager must possess strong problem-solving skills. They encounter various challenges, and their ability to think critically and find innovative solutions is essential for success.
- Strategic thinking is crucial in this role. The manager needs to analyze market trends, competitors, and customer behaviour to develop effective long-term sales and marketing strategies.
What You Bring
- A solid understanding of the products, services, and operational needs within the well service and drilling industries, including hydraulic fracturing, coiled tubing, rig operations, and pressure pumping.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic or management roles, demonstrating a strong record of leadership, business development, and decision-making.
- Strong presentation and influencing skills, essential for guiding the sales team and engaging effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to build trust and collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- A high level of business acumen, with the ability to assess market dynamics, anticipate customer needs, and respond to competitive pressures.
