About This Position About the Role The Student Ambassador Program Coordinator provides support to the Donor Relations team to reach strategic student engagement goals for the Mount Royal University Foundation. The scope of work includes coordinating and supporting donor engagement activities and assisting in administration of the Student Ambassador Program.
Hours for the Student Ambassador Program Coordinator are unscheduled and will vary depending on the status of projects, but will not exceed 14 hours per week. The Student Ambassador Program Coordinator must be a current Mount Royal University student. Responsibilities Program Development
- Identify best practices at other organizations for Ambassador Program planning and operation
- Aid in development of Student Ambassador Program and promotional materials
- Help coordinate information sessions, recruitment activities and events for the Student Ambassador Program
- Support the Donor Relations team with the administration and execution of the Student Ambassador Program
Events
- Aid with planning, execution and post-event follow up of meetings and events that advance the Student Ambassador Program
- Represent Mount Royal University students and the Student Ambassador program in front of external audiences, such as donors
- Support the planning and presentation of events including recording RSVPs, managing and recording correspondence with student volunteers in Raiser's Edge database
- Adheres to all policies regarding the integrity, security and appropriate use of information pursuant to the wishes of all constituents and relevant privacy legislation
- Develop productive working relationships with campus and community resources
General
- Serve as a resource for the Donor Relations team in relation to institutional priorities
- Updating information and contact notes in Raiser’s Edge
- Support institutional stewardship efforts, such as conducting ‘thank you’ calls
Qualifications
- Must be a current Mount Royal University student
- Highly organized, conscientious and detail-oriented
- Solid decision-making skills, ability to set priorities, solve problems and remain calm in stressful situations is critical
- Time and fiscal management, creativity and attention to detail are required
- Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work as part a team and/or independently
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
- Experience in working with committees, volunteers, partners, sponsors and donors
- Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple projects and programs
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required, must be flexible
Salary: $20 per hour
