ALL IN: The 2025-2029 Lambton College Strategic Plan
Specific Accountabilities:
Provides technical support in maintaining and operating systems and equipment (Moodle LMS platforms using PHP, NodeJS, MySQL, and AWS):

Demonstrates correct techniques for the use of systems, materials and equipment

Sets up and performs a wide range of experiments including Moodle plugins for authentication, course tracking, API integrations, and system data synchronization
Maintains system and equipment records and undertakes trouble shooting and repair work:

Maintain automated NodeJS services that will reduce user registration and course enrolment from weeks to same-day processing

Optimizes bilingual course structures (English/French) and provide a user experience for learners and staff

Check student activity
Streamlines micro-certificate delivery workflows through automation and process refinement:
- Maintains long-term care user authentication and course enrollment processes
- Maintaining and supporting course setup/design, system updates (plugins, themes, security), data reporting, and integration with LTC backend
- Monitor Moodle performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain user documentation, tutorials, and guides for Moodle functionalities
About the Position:
This is a regular part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Manager, Digital Transformation Lab, working 15 hours per week at an hourly rate of $28.60
The successful candidate will perform a variety of technical tasks in the maintenance, operation and demonstration of the College's systems, facilities and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Required skills normally acquired through attainment of a two year Community College diploma, or equivalent level of education
- Job duties require the ability to organize simple statistical information and to understand the elementary principles of a science or a professional discipline
- 2 years practical experience
- 2 years of experience with long-term care domain
