About the Role:
We’re building complex, high-performance robotic systems—and we’re entering a critical phase of growth. Over the next 12-18 months, we plan to scale our production capacity by 20× . We’re looking for a Manufacturing Scaling Lead to lead this transition from low-volume builds to efficient, repeatable production.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who’s passionate about building manufacturing systems from the ground up and wants to be instrumental in bringing cutting-edge robotics to the real world at scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable manufacturing processes to support a 20× increase in production over a 12-18 month period.
- Design efficient assembly, integration, and test workflows for complex robotic assemblies
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT)
- Develop fixtures, tools, and process documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality builds.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks; drive continuous improvement in throughput, yield, and cost.
- Partner with supply chain and operations teams to scale vendor and supplier capabilities.
- Plan and optimize production space layout and material flow.
- Own and maintain detailed process documentation, quality standards, and traceability systems.
What You’ll Need:
- 5–10 years of experience in robotics hardware manufacturing, automotive manufacturing or other complex products, with a strong track record of scaling production
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience taking complex robotic assemblies from prototype to high-rate production.
- Deep knowledge of DFM, lean manufacturing, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for fixture and tooling design.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills, with a presence on the production floor.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and supply chain scaling.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, early-stage environments.
Bonus Points:
- Experience scaling robotic systems, automation hardware, or other high-complexity products.
- Background in production test systems, process automation, or data-driven manufacturing improvement.
Why work for us?
- We’re one of Canada’s fastest growing companies & venture-backed by leaders in the solar industry
- Welcoming, inclusive and collaborative team environment
- Healthcare/Lifestyle Spending Benefits
- Flexible working hours
- Modern office and Green Energy technology
