What’s involved in the General Labour role:
The Island Farms plant is looking for General Labour employees to support their Warehouse department. Working in a cooler environment, duties will include assisting the department in the day-to-day activities.
What you need to join our team:
- Class One highly preferred
- Warehouse experience in a Cooler/Freezer environment preferred
- Qualified to operate mobile equipment including swing reach forklift, reach truck forklift and pallet jack preferred
- Able to work with and without direct supervision
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and be an active team member
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to record and maintain all records and other documentation
- Able to organize, coordinate and prioritize work to ensure efficiency
- Physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
- Experience with inventory counts and control procedures preferred
This is a 24/7 operation - candidates must have flexibility in their availability and able to work days, afternoons, and night shifts.

Our Victoria, BC plant is home to about 180 employees in one of Canada’s most beautiful cities. This facility produces fluid and chocolate milk, cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, ice cream and soft serve products in a unique facility with a storied history on Vancouver Island. Located minutes from downtown, we process Vancouver Island milk into world-class dairy products.
