About the role

NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

This state-of-the-art facility will be the first of its kind in Canada and is being built with the goal of becoming the foremost battery hub in North America. NextStar Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level position in administration. As part of our team, you will play a key role in providing admin support and travel arrangements to our leadership teams, as well as office related services for the office. Responsibilities:

  • Processing and distributing a high volume of internal and external mail, emails and voicemail.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the required executives.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings of executive leaders as required.
  • Keeping the executive’s calendar up-to-date, including adding events, rescheduling appointments and providing daily briefings.
  • Prepare travel arrangements.
  • Organize and record financial transactions and data.
  • Organize schedules and prioritize meeting requests by working proactively to mitigate scheduling conflicts.
  • Take notes during meetings that the executive leaders attend and communicate action items from the meetings.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare drafts of team meeting proposals, presentations and emails for presentation by executive leaders.
  • Keeping important information and documents organized physically, and electronically

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in executive administrative support.
  • Minimum high school diploma, post secondary education in related field preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the business area and supporting a team of leaders.
  • Some experience managing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of the strategic goal of the business area in relation to the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Basic computer and office equipment skills.
