About the Role
We are a leading and well-established manufacturing organization in the Hamilton area and are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as an Accounts Payable Administrator & Business Analyst. This unique role blends hands-on accounts payable responsibilities with data analysis, process improvement, and budgeting support. You’ll ensure accurate and timely payments to our vendors while also helping the business make smarter, data-driven decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Process vendor invoices, match POs, and ensure payments are accurate and on time.
- Maintain vendor records and resolve payment or invoice discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable balances and prepare reports for month-end close.
- Analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support the budgeting process.
- Prepare variance analyses and monitor actual spend against budget.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and IT to improve processes and implement system enhancements.
- Use Excel, ERP, and BI tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
What You Bring
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience, with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (BI tools an asset).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
