As we scale for our next stage of growth we a looking for a HR Manager the will provide strategic leadership and direction for all HR functions across the organization.

Job Summary The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and executing people strategies that align with business goals, foster an inclusive culture, and drive organizational effectiveness. The HR Manager will lead a team that oversees recruitment, employee relations, benefit administration, performance management and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Education

  • Human Resources Diploma / Degree, CHRL designation
  • 5-10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Strong problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with HR software & HR metrics reporting

Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and mission.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructuring and workforce planning.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the senior management team on all HR – related matters.
  • Recruitment & Staffing:
  • Manage the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring the hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Conduct interviews, negotiate offers, and oversee the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with company values
  • Address and resolve employee issues, conflict, and concerns in a fair and consistent manor.
  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to resolve workplace conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
  • Address employee concerns and handle grievances in a timely manner.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback and communication.
  • Performance Management:
  • Work with department leads to establish performance goals, career development plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure consistent feedback and development opportunities.
  • Advise managers on best practices for evaluating performance and setting goals.
  • Work with employees and managers to create development plans.
  • Compliance & Policies:
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Stay informed of changes in labour laws and advise management on implications.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation programs.
  • Ensure competitive salary structures and benefits packages to attract and retain talent.
  • Negotiate with benefits providers and coordinate annual benefits enrollment.
  • Training & Development:
  • Design and implement employee training programs for career growth and development.
  • Coordinate leadership development and management training initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting:
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to track employee engagement, turnover rates, and satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management regarding HR activities and performance.
  • Recommend HR strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Workplace Safety & Wellness:
  • Ensure the workplace complies with safety regulations and standards.
  • Promote employee wellness initiatives and programs.
  • Address and mitigate risks related to employee health and workplace safety.
