About the role
We are currently looking for Snow Walks Crew Leaders to join our growing team this winter season! Successful applicants will lead a small crew by driving a company vehicle on an assigned route of properties and use shovels and snow blowers to help keep our clients’ properties clear of snow after snow events. This is a part time, on call opportunity and hours are based on snow fall. Successful applicants will work on commercial and condo sites under the direction of a regional snow manager. Our strength is organization and we plan our routes and crews in advance and always operate with maximum efficiency. This opportunity goes from November 15, 2025 to April 15, 2026. Ideally, we are looking for individuals that have full availability that could be assigned to a dedicated route, but we are open to experienced candidates with limited availability who could be on our support roster.

Our Expectations
-
Respond promptly to mobilization calls to confirm availability for a snow event
-
Mobilize at our shop at the designated start time and load up assigned company truck with equipment
-
Complete circle checks on company vehicle and fill out required paperwork
-
Lead a small crew by delegating work, ensuring they are working safely, and coaching them on proper tool techniques
-
Shovel snow off of walkways and driveways, and push into designated snow pile locations
-
Spread salt on walkways during a snow event
-
Plow snow when necessary, using a snowblower
-
Load salt and clean salt out of trucks
-
Use tools and equipment for snow removal safely at all times
-
Accurately complete digital timesheets for the crew and submit them in a timely manner

Remove all garbage from the truck at the end of the shift
Job Requirements

Previous experience in snow removal or outdoor labour, and experience leading a small crew is preferred

Valid Driver's License and Clean Driver's Abstract

Physically fit and able to tolerate long periods of standing, pushing, lifting, and walking in inclement weather conditions

Able to communicate with customers, management, and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner
-
Be punctual and responsive to internal communication

Reliable transportation to and from the shop as we are not located on a public transit route

Team player who has a positive attitude, is reliable and dependable
-
On call 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays preferred

Willingness to work for long hours in various weather conditions
-
Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop and on jobsites
