Position Summary
Under the direction of the F&B Supervisor, the Server is responsible for providing excellent customer service and quality food and beverage service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia’s culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.
Job Duties
- Provides exceptional guest service to dining guests
- Provides full-table service following established standards of service
- Cleans, buses and sets tables
- Performs other cleaning duties as required including Server side duties
- Works as a member of the team and provides support to co-workers on shift to ensure an overall positive experience for all guests
- Other assigned duties as required
- Finds ways to play ; you are serious about work, without being serious in your demeanor
- Chooses to make everyday a great day
- Stays focused in order to be there
- Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day
Minimum Qualifications
- Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent is required
- Completion of the Responsible Service Certificate “Serve Right - it’s just good business” is required
- Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience is required
- Proven strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, is required
- Proven GEM skills are required
- Must be energetic and able to work quickly, under pressure, in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, is required
- Proven ability to commit to offering our guests the highest level of guest service
- Satisfactory attendance is required
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be friendly, detailed oriented, fun and outgoing!
- WHMIS training an asset Micros experience an asset
