THE ROLE
Under the supervision of Community Aquatics and Recreation Coordinator, the Assistant Skating Instructor assists in planning, organizing and delivering skating classes. She/he demonstrates and assists with instructing skating activities and techniques. She/he assembles supplies and equipment, as required. She/he attends to client with special needs.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- High school diploma AND some years experience conducting skating classes
- OR Skating Teachers Certificate
- AND Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Experience
- Experience In planning, organizing, and delivering skating classes
- Experience In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
- Experience In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
- Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership (our shared competencies).
