About the role
DUTIES
- Kit and/or modify parts and subassemblies for the assembly of various types of transformers.
- Kit all parts from various locations throughout the plant to support production on time.
- Performs duties required before and during assembly operation of large power transformers.
- Responsible for the preparation of kits, and subassemblies, and/or any changes in parts required for manufacturing.
- Crimping/brazing and soldering wires
- Operates tow motors, Armstrong, lift trucks and company truck.
- Some assembly on transformer when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have knowledge of materials used, practices, and techniques used in the manufacturing or transformer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as hand tools, jigs, fixtures, drill press, grinders, shears and punches, and power tools.
- Must maintain a high attention to detail when checking specification details and report any variation immediately to supervisor.
- Must be well organized and work well with others.
