About the role
Brandt Group of Companies is actively seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of IT Project Management to join our team at our Corporate Head Office in Regina, SK. This is a full-time, in-office leadership role.
The Director of IT Project Management is a key leadership role responsible for establishing, leading, and maturing the project management discipline within the Brandt IT department. You will build and mentor a team of project managers, creating a center of excellence that drives the successful and repeatable execution of projects across our technology portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring that IT initiatives, from major enterprise system implementations to critical infrastructure upgrades, are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with Brandt's strategic business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy & Standards:

- Architect, implement, and govern a standardized project management framework and methodology for the entire IT department.
- Champion project management best practices and processes across IT and with business stakeholders throughout the enterprise. Develop and manage reporting mechanisms to provide senior leadership with clear visibility into the project portfolio's progress, risks, and financial health.
- Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage resource allocation, negotiate with business units to secure necessary project personnel, and resolve conflicts within project teams. Oversee the professional development and performance of the project management team.
- Portfolio & Project Execution:

- Manage the entire lifecycle of the IT project portfolio, from initial concept and strategic planning through to tactical execution and post-mortem analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and ROI calculations to establish project feasibility and priority.
- Oversee the creation of project charters for all approved initiatives, clearly defining scope, objectives, risks, milestones, and deliverables. Ensure rigorous financial oversight of all projects, tracking costs against budget and managing procurement of additional funding when necessary.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with business units, corporate departments, and key stakeholders to ensure project alignment with their needs.
- Closely monitor and manage the efforts, billing, and deliverables of third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Establish and lead a formal change management program to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to communicate progress, solicit feedback, and manage expectations.

Required Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the IT project management field, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex technology projects.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Current and valid Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects related to ERP, CRM, Custom Development, Cybersecurity, and IT Infrastructure.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environment is a significant asset.
- Technical experience with enterprise platforms such as MS M365, MS Azure, and/or MS Dynamics 365 is preferred.
