Responsibilities

• The role of the Technical Support and Children Safety Supervisor is to prescreen and evaluate Children Softline's product according to the Canadian Regulatory Standards and Wal-Mart Safety Standards as outlined in the Wal-Mart Apparel Technical Manual.
• The Children Safety Auditor will assess all aspects of safety; complete safety worksheets; work collaboratively with the Performance Testing Lab; and document findings.
• Provide key support to Clients in problem solving and provide guidance to ensure all safety standards are outlined and followed up correctly.Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.
• Acts as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks.
• Manages the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
• Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders, and with Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures.
• Manages stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly.
• Adheres to program and project governance (controls).
• Plans the overall project and monitors the progress and performs Daily project management throughout the project's life cycle.
• Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.
• Manages and utilizes resources.
• Aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the project's outcome with the aid of the business change manager.

Qualifications Education: Fashion Design Degree or Equivalent

Expertise or Experience (include # years required): Well- developed knowledge in the following:

• Garment Construction and Fit Analysis
• Product Development
• Textile, Dyeing, Printing
• Canadian Regulatory Standards
• Safety Standards
• Quality Assurance
• Report Writing/written communication skills
• Ability to contribute to the team in a positive manner by managing in-house
• Organizational skills and ability to maintain priorities
• Ability to Multi-task
• Attention to details
• 10+ years of work experience in Manufacturing or Product Development or Equivalent

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Applications

Physical Requirements: Lifting and carrying of baskets or garments to and from fit area to workstations. Lifting of Mannequins for safety evaluation.
