Position Overview We’re looking for a BIM Electrical Technician who brings precision, curiosity, and strong technical execution to every project. In this role, you’ll take the lead on producing high‑quality Revit and CAD models, drawings, and documentation for a wide range of building‑electrical systems. You’ll work side‑by‑side with our engineers and designers to develop coordinated, accurate deliverables that reflect BPA’s commitment to excellence, constructability, and client-focused service. Your work will help shape reliable, well‑designed electrical systems across diverse and exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revit and CAD models for building‑electrical systems across a wide variety of projects.
- Prepare clear, accurate sheets and documentation that align with BPA’s quality and coordination standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure models and drawings reflect design intent, system performance requirements, and project constraints.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination by integrating electrical models with architectural, structural, and mechanical information.
- Perform model updates and corrections as designs evolve, ensuring consistency, clarity, and technical accuracy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by following BPA drafting standards and helping enhance workflows, templates, and model organization.
What You Bring
- College diploma/technical training in Electrical Engineering TechnologyArchitectural/Building Technology, or BIM/CAD.
- Proficiency in Revit (required) and AutoCAD (required);
- Microsoft 365. Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, BIMTrack or Revizto is an asset.
- 1–3 years of experience producing electrical building systems drawings and models in a consulting or similar environment.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Familiarity with Canadian electrical standards/codes (e.g., OESC/CSA) is an asset.
