Position Overview:

As a Service Supervisor, you’ll spend most of your time on the shop floor, ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on time while mentoring your team and supporting continuous improvement.

Job Description:

  • Champion a culture of safety through daily reviews and compliance with NSC standards.
  • Lead and mentor technicians and apprentices, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Oversee job planning and execution, ensuring repairs align with scope and quality standards.
  • Act as a communication link between shop floor and customer-facing teams.
  • Support warranty and repair processes, including documentation and claim management.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying safety and process opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, timecard accuracy, and contamination control protocols.
  • Contribute to operational KPIs including safety, customer satisfaction, and productivity.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Spend most of your time on the shop floor monitoring job progress.
  • Conduct pre-job, mid-job, and post-job safety and quality meetings.
  • Assign technicians to jobs and manage manpower availability.
  • Review tooling, parts, and technical issues to prevent delays.
  • Communicate job updates and changes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track performance metrics and implement lessons learned for future jobs.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson trade ticket (HET, Welding, Machinist).
  • Experience in fabrication and machining.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, warranty processes, and contamination control.
  • Financial acumen and ability to interpret KPIs.
  • Familiarity with collective agreements and performance management processes is an asset.

Important:

  • Based out of our Kamloops shop.
  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
