The Strategic Execution Planning Expert at Co-operators is responsible for the development and oversight of the enterprise-wide, strategic execution plan and monitoring progress and changes to the multi-year execution plan. Through their leadership and expertise, this role will work closely with the business to enable strategic choices that formulate an enterprise-wide multi-year roadmap of projects and operational initiatives that enable the achievement of strategic goals, and considers pacing and sequencing, dependencies and risks.

How you will create impact:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in strategic execution planning, leveraging best practices, frameworks, and methodologies to effectively guide senior management and cross-functional teams through prioritization and the enterprise strategic execution planning process.

  • Direct the formulation of multi-year, integrated strategic execution roadmaps as well as annual execution plans, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.

  • Update and maintain these roadmaps and works with the team to ensure transparency into risks, issues, dependencies and interdependencies.

  • Monitor progress of the Execution plan and develop reporting systems. Support senior leaders to recalibrate their investments on a quarterly basis.

  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to understand what strategic initiatives that other similar organizations are embarking on to accelerate growth, profitability, strengthen capabilities and mitigate risk.

  • Work in partnership with the Strategy team to ensure a regular cadence of quality strategic execution updates and reports.

To join our team:

  • You have 6-9 years of experiences in financial services or related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. A graduate degree such as Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an asset. Exceptional strategic execution planning, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Expert facilitation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to challenge and influence for elevated outcomes.

  • Strong ability to convey complex ideas and data in a way that drives alignment and informed decision making.

  • Proven track record of leading strategic execution planning, preferably at the enterprise level.

  • Knowledge of insurance or financial services industry. Including building business and technology capabilities.
