About the role

The Bilingual Training & Development Sr. Coordinator is responsible for effectively delivering comprehensive process and skill-based training for New Business – Retail Insurance Operations. Partnering with the Business Leads and other key stakeholders, the coordinator will ensure support for all necessary learning & development as well as maintaining related procedural documentation and knowledge database content as required. Position Responsibilities: Facilitate Learning Delivery Facilitate training pertaining to New Business in both English and French Provide effective support and motivation to groups of learners, focusing on adult learning principles Demonstrate excellence across the spectrum of facilitation skills including but not limited to: Comprehension and application of learning or performance objectives, creating optimal learning environments and adjusting facilitation approach to meet learner needs while continuing to drive program objectives. Learning Assessment Delivery Identification of learner risk during facilitation to initiate the risk mitigation process with Manager, New Business & Inforce Insurance Support Services & Development and the Operations leadership team Provide progress updates to BE Leads, the Manager and other stakeholders Recommending, planning, and implementing learning risk mitigation strategies during and post training Learning Planning & Mentorship Collaborate with key partners to identify training needs and map out training plans for internal team training pertaining to upcoming FASAT system changes Participate in train the trainer sessions and self-guided study to learn new content Coordinate all aspects of learning delivery Maintain the integrity and quality of the Knowledge Management System Manage the maintenance, enhancements and ongoing growth of an internal knowledge management system working closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure standardization and alignment with the organization’s knowledge management standards and strategy for all process and procedural documentation. Consult with business partner leaders and departments to ensure they are adhering to the knowledge management strategy for all processes and procedures and support projects to update documentation as required. Required Qualifications: Bilingual (French/English) is required -The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec. 3 – 4 years of related industry experience. Insurance operational and related system knowledge a strong asset. Strong technical skills and experience with learning and facilitations software. Strong ability to present information, provide instruction and direction to manage learners. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances. Customer obsession mindset. Learn new information quickly and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. Virtual facilitation skills that can engage online learners is an asset. Experience in adult learning theory and methodology is an asset. Facilitation certification is an asset. Ability to make an impact through influencing skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, proof reading skills and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: You obsess about customers, listen, engage, and act for their benefit. Referenced Salary Location Waterloo, Ontario Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $51,975.00 CAD - $86,625.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
