Value & Overview of the Role
- The Assignment Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring client satisfaction and financial success by expertly managing the appraisal order process. This role demands a naturally personable and helpful individual with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. You will collaborate closely with Appraisal Firms, Appraisers, and our internal Appraisal Services Team, focusing on orders that cannot be fulfilled through our automated system. Your ability to cultivate strong relationships with Appraisal firms and Appraisers will be paramount, enabling RPS to successfully assign orders and consistently meet our client service level agreements. Importantly, you will also be responsible formaintaining our Profit & Loss. This includes reviewing fee quotes submitted by appraisers that fall outside our standard thresholds, requiring you to use critical thinking to maintain healthy margins while upholding our SLAs.
Accountabilities
- Ensure the efficient and timely assignment of all appraisal orders by actively monitoring and managing unassigned orders, guaranteeing acceptance within established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Proactively engage with appraisal firms to obtain firm commitments on delivery times and to confirm and approve appraisal fees before order assignment, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and optimizing cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure appraisal orders processed are properly documented and provide status updates within the portal system, providing clients real-time visibility into the progress of their request.
- Leverage data and insights obtained from interactions with appraisal firms to identify opportunities for process optimization and actively contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Utilizing all available tools to do the work
- Participating in any other Success Team supporting activities
Work Experience / Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years customer service experience in a call centre environment
- Customer Obsessed – understand our appraisers and clients, anticipate and strive to exceed the customers’ expectations
- Interpersonal Skills – have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and facilitate constructive interactions
- Active listening skills – keen ability to listen attentively, comprehend the full message being communicated, respond thoughtfully, and retain key information.
- Team Player - collaborate across the Success Teams
- Critical thinker – determine client needs and the best course of action and think differently to creatively resolve challenges
- Technology - knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (primarily Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Bilingual (written and verbal) in French and English is an asset
Other Information:
- Reporting to: Director, Appraiser Partners
- Business Hours: 40 hours per week, Flexibility schedule from 8am-8pm (EST) as shifts during the evening, weekend or public holidays may be required
