Senior Accountant
Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and established organization in their search for a Senior Accountant . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, strengthening processes, and supporting a collaborative finance team.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial operations while helping enhance systems and workflows. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the accounting function, contribute to process improvements, and provide valuable insights that support informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the month-end and year-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Review general ledger activity and investigate variances to ensure financial information is accurate and complete

Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports and documentation required for audits
-
Provide guidance and support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members to ensure consistent accounting practices
-
Help resolve complex accounting issues and support accurate transaction processing across the finance team
-
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls
-
Participate in finance system improvements, including supporting testing and data validation for an upcoming ERP implementation
Requirements:
-
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities and involvement in the close process
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
CPA designation or active progress toward the CPA program is considered an asset
-
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and core accounting processes
-
Experience in manufacturing or inventory-based environments is an asset
-
Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial
