MLT Aikins is seeking a corporate securities associate (3–6 years) to join our thriving Vancouver capital markets, public and private M&A and securities team. We would like to speak to candidates who have relevant experience at a large firm or a smaller corporate or securities-focused firm.
Working with our securities group provides an exceptional opportunity for associates to develop strong legal and client-service skills through work on local, national and international corporate finance transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, and other securities law and related matters. Our practice is characterized by collegiality, client service and a strong commitment to Canada, its business opportunities and its future.
The successful candidate will assist clients in a wide variety of capital markets business and M&A transactions as well as generally navigating securities law and stock exchange obligations. Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic corporate and securities lawyer with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective practice management skills and a pragmatic approach to serving clients.
The successful lawyer would receive close mentorship from senior lawyers within the practice group. As a full-service law firm, we work together as a team to provide the highest level of service excellence to help our clients succeed in their goals.
