Overview:

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data analytics, critical thinking skills, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This is a great opportunity for a data professional to grow their impact in a mission-driven environment while developing skills in data strategy, governance, and advanced analytics.

The Data Reporting Analyst will work with key business leaders to identify, develop and deliver relevant data, reports and dashboards to support day to day, historical and future operations.

This role will enable decision-makers to make evidence-based decisions, support growth efforts, and identify threats and opportunities through generating and delivering insights and trends.

What The Role Involves:

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing data from various sources
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in business operations
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in reports and dashboards

Reporting & Visualization

  • Lead the development of dashboards and KPI scorecards using Excel, Power BI
  • Create visually engaging and user-friendly reports to communicate insights to, business users
  • Assist with maintaining and updating existing reporting tools and templates

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Document current workflows and identify inefficiencies through data and stakeholder input
  • Support small-scale process improvement initiatives and automation efforts
  • Apply design-thinking and user-focused approaches to improve data usability and accessibility

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business teams to understand reporting and data needs
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Help promote the use of data and Power BI tools across the organization

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a data analyst or similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, or Looker.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge in Power BI and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL.
  • Experience with AlayaCare Data Exploration (DE) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement, eliciting requirements, presenting findings, and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with data-governance principles, including metadata documentation, security controls, and data privacy standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct ad hoc analysis in response to internal requests, supporting teams across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve data inconsistencies and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with departments such as HR, and Finance to understand data needs and align reporting efforts.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, SharePoint) is an asset
  • Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or other mission-driven environments is preferred.
