Located at 725 Coursol Road, Sturgeon Falls, ON, Canada, West Nipissing General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Admitting Clerk 2025-64. As a part-time opportunity in the healthcare sector, this role offers flexibility with work hours ranging from 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week, and a competitive hourly rate of $27.35-$28.32.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients efficiently while ensuring accurate data entry and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Verify patient information and insurance details to facilitate smooth admission processes.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to manage patient flow and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Maintain and update electronic health records with precision and attention to detail.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Successful completion of Medical Terminology course
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health record systems.

The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services.
