POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time (1.0 FTE) term position of Grades 6 - 8 Teacher at Blumenfeld School effective September 8, 2026 – June 30, 2027**.**

Garden Valley School Division is a dynamic and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart.

REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
• Prior experience teaching within a multi-grade class would be an asset.
• Ability or willingness to teach some basic art/music and physical education would be considered an asset.
• The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member is essential.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

SCHOOL INFORMATION:

Blumenfeld School is part of the Border Valley Unit, which is in the Village of Blumenfeld, just a 20-minute drive south of the City of Winkler. This Gr. 1-8 rural school of three classrooms serves the residents of the village and the immediate surrounding area. Blumenfeld School has approximately 55 students, with a teaching staff of four, and a support staff of three. It also shares a resource and administration team with Border Valley School. The size of the school allows for unique learning opportunities and fosters strong personal relationships between students, staff, and community members.
