This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of environmental professionals with the ability for a hybrid work arrangement from any of our offices in Eastern Canada. In this leadership role, you’ll have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s team across the Atlantic region, and across the company on some of Eastern Canada’s largest and most exciting projects!
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, training, and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in the areas of environmental site assessment and remediation across Atlantic Canada.
- Assist with recruitment of junior and intermediate field and technical environmental staff.
- Independently manage a portfolio of environmental investigation projects (Phase I, II ESA’s, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation).
- Project planning, implementation, coordinating fieldwork.
- Review of project budgets, expenses to ensure profitable project performance.
- Proposal preparation for a variety of clients, demonstrated skills and abilities to develop positive business relationships with clients.
- Management of provincial and/or federal contaminated sites assessments, site remediation, coordination with risk assessors (human or ecological).
- Serve as a resource in your field(s) of expertise.
- Analyze and prepare documentation, presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Gain and share knowledge through participation in technical societies and/or attendance at internal and external programs.
- Engage with other senior members within the firm to advance our brand and standing with clients and foster business development.
- Manage the technical, schedule and budgetary elements of projects and provide day-to-day project management and compliance with site, corporate and regulatory standards.
- And any other IT related tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years or more of environmental consulting experience.
- University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Geoscience.
- Professional status or designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag.)
- Familiarity with Environmental Regulations in Atlantic Canada.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work both outside and in an office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.
- Strong computer skills using word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics applications such as MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, GIS.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in managing teams considered an asset.
