In this role, you will:

Engage in a variety of projects and tasks in support of Babcock Canada’s Facilities and Site Services, with special focus on Babcock’s west coast locations associated with the British Columbia Helicopter Emergency Medical Services program.

Act as the primary contact for stakeholder management and keep requirement gathering at the forefront of all your actions, develop relationships with end users and confirm that project outcomes meet their needs.
-
Be responsible to the Facilities and Site Services Team Manager for the delivery of your assigned projects and tasks while interacting collaboratively across the Facilities and Site Services Team.

Work within a matrix environment, interacting with a variety of Babcock teams while embodying the Babcock Principles to ensure positive outcomes.

When operating within a project management framework, execute the project management lifecycle from beginning to end stages, through planning, execution, and close-out of project activities. Maintain project documentation, and manage project scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, project documents, risk, and change to achieve project outputs.

Arrange for various onsite work to be completed with trades people, through statement of work documentation, onsite monitoring and point of contact responsibilities, and confirmation of completed work in accordance with the expected scope.

Apply a practical hands-on, problem-solving approach to a variety of situations and obstacles, and ensure issue are addressed promptly.
-
Ensure compliance with all working practices within the project, paying particular attention to corporate procedures, safety standards, and local project specific procedures as necessary.

Ensure all Quality and Health & Safety standards are maintained and communicate Health and Safety issues as required.

The ideal candidate brings:
-
A positive, resilient and flexible mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands, a willingness to travel (20%,) and a hands-on attitude.
-
A practical possession of basic handy person skills is a necessary foundation, though formal training is not required. A background in facilities management or construction projects is a strong asset.
-
A recognized University Degree or College diploma in Project Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or are willing to complete this certification within the first year of employment.
-
3 to 7 years’ experience in successfully managing complex multi-stakeholder projects with, with a minimum 4 years of overall Project Management experience.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
-
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products and familiar with project management software
-
Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.

Basic technical aptitude and the ability understand practical requirements when working with trades and contractors
