Data Coordinator - Medical Devices Reprocessing Centre - Regular Full-time 2026-17154
About the role
Summary of Duties
- Manage, maintain and repair the T-Doc instrument tracking Database
- Plan and organize the Sterile Storage area and Sterile Core, in accordance with changes made in Patient tracking system (T-Doc and SPM)
- Trouble shoot and problem solve tracking system links to all MDRC machinery.
- Maintains statistics in data base and downloads to back up system and other files.
- Re-label and reorganize O.R. carts through the instrument and inventory system.
- Input new Instrument sets into computer data base system
- Manage the repair process for instruments and machinery and works closely with the nurses, MDRC manager, supervisors and Vendors.
- Maintenance of Virtual Computer server, and all workstations computers including, hardware, printers etc., by collaborating with IS and IT departments.
- Research and recommend modules for patient tracking and other updates on innovative technology.
- Ordering of departmental supplies including printer cartridges, labels, stationary, etc.
- Teach and train MDRC staff on the tracking system, upgrades and other modules.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, instrument repair personnel.
- Maintain all computer hardware in the MDRC department
- Set-up, maintain and configure new software and hardware
- Digital photography of instruments and sets
- Staff scheduling and update supervisor’s scheduling including ESP
- Input staff payroll hours into hospital system.
- Trouble shoot and problem solve computer issues with staff, the OR and other users of MDRC services.
- Designs spreadsheets for statistics, productivity, machine and instrument repairs etc.
- Provide ongoing support to the management team including the manager, supervisors and educator
Qualifications/Skills
- Undergraduate degree or Community College Diploma in related field
- Proficient technical and computer skills required
- Instrumentation experience a definite asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi skill and perform multiple tasks
- Strong customer service skills and experience to deal with customers and suppliers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and human relations skills to deal staff of different backgrounds and experiences.
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and part of a multidisciplinary team
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced environment.
