Key Responsibilities Independently manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution. Represent clients in matters involving divorce, parenting, decision-making responsibility, parenting time, child support, spousal support, equalization of net family property, domestic contracts, and enforcement proceedings. Conduct client consultations and provide practical, strategic legal advice. Draft pleadings, affidavits, financial statements, conference briefs, motion records, factums, separation agreements, minutes of settlement, and other family law documents. Attend mediations, case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, hearings, and trials before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice. Analyze financial disclosure and advise clients regarding income determination, support calculations, business interests, and property issues. Develop litigation strategies and prepare matters for hearings and trial. Negotiate favourable settlements while protecting clients' legal and financial interests. Work collaboratively with law clerks, legal assistants, and external professionals to ensure files progress efficiently. Maintain regular communication with clients while delivering exceptional client service throughout every stage of their matter.

Qualifications Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 2–5 years of dedicated family law litigation experience. Demonstrated ability to manage family law files with increasing independence. Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act, Divorce Act, Family Law Rules, and relevant case law. Excellent courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills. Exceptional drafting skills with strong attention to detail. Thorough understanding of financial disclosure, child support, spousal support, and property-related issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with Divorcemate and family law practice management software is considered an asset.
