About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly adaptable Senior Accountant to join a growing Family Office. Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting, this role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of family-owned businesses, investments, trusts, and partnerships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in a dynamic, multi-entity environment, with increasing complexity and responsibility over time. Key Responsibilitie sFull-Cycle Accounting & Bookkeepin gMaintain accurate financial records for corporations, trusts, and guardianships across multiple entitie sPerform bank and investment reconciliations, including multi-currency transactions (equities, bonds, LPs, real estate investments )Record foreign exchange transactions and complex investment activit yPrepare and post month-end and year-end journal entrie sLeverage systems including Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, and Exce lAccounts Payable & Administratio nProcess invoices, prepare payments, and record transaction sPrint and manage cheques and supporting documentatio nMaintain well-organized records to support audit, tax, and reporting requirement

- CPA designation or actively enro lled- Prior work experience in a Family Office or Public Accounting Firm with investment accounting experience is highly prefer red.- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and year-end proces ses.- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, 365 Dynamics Business Central, and Ex cel.- Familiarity with tax preparation tools like Taxprep and CaseW are.- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and backups for financial documentat ion.- Strong interpersonal skills to build collegial relationships with partners and stakehold ers.- Advanced knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close proces
