About the Opportunity
We are seeking to fill a new, full-time Plant Manager position with 5-7 years of management experience to join our growing business. The Plant Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plant, with a core focus on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Job Duties
Manage all daily plant operations. Lead plant supervisors and staff to consistently achieve productivity, quality, and efficiency targets. Plan and manage staffing, shift scheduling, and resource allocation based on operational demand. Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Warehousing Practices (GWPs). Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actively champion continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Coordinate with cross-functional departments on logistics, scheduling, quality assurance, and project management deadlines. Maintain rigorous security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations, contents, and customer inventory. Enforce workplace health and safety programs, manage training, and oversee incident reporting. Ensure compliance with all legal processes, inspection readiness, documentation, and audit requirements for inbound and outbound goods. Monitor operational, equipment, and personnel expenses, providing budgetary recommendations to senior Operations leadership. Maintain comprehensive annual equipment reports detailing lifecycle, status, operation costs, and estimated life-end for all inspection equipment, bundlers, forklifts, freezers, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing teams. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or plant management. Demonstrated experience operating within Canadian regulatory frameworks.
