About the role
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Deposit Operations, the Deposit Administrator I, works as part of a team responsible for providing administrative, clerical and back-office support to the advisor teams in the area of investments, registered products, and general deposit administration. The Deposit Administrator I contribute positively to the organization by preparing and processing deposit-related documentation for the advisor teams, performing various follow-up procedures and responding to advisor inquiries adding to the overall quality and seamless delivery of service. This role supports Assiniboine Credit Union/ Caisse Assiniboine (ACU)’s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking and ACU’s triple bottom line accountability to people, planet, and prosperity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Providing accurate and timely back office administrative support to the Advice & service delivery teams supporting investment products, Outlook Financial member support, registered products, and deposit products such as AgriInvest and trust accounts.
- Ensuring data is accurately input on the banking system including for both account and registered plan set-up, and lifecycle maintenance (Age 71 processing; locked-in plan and account maintenance, date of death, beneficiary changes, closeouts, etc.).
- Providing timely and accurate processing on Outlook Financial including, but not limited to the following: opening and closing memberships, preparing and issuing all member communications, processing investments etc.
- Contributing to the overall departmental objectives and actively participating in team efforts to improve efficiencies and meet service standards.
- Maintaining thorough and current knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, service standards and regulatory (legislative) requirements relative to the responsibilities of the department (i.e. registered products, non-registered term deposit products, Lawyer and real estate trust administration and virtual banking product offering and administration).
- Responsible for resolving routine problems to ensure the needs of the members, staff and the Credit Union are met.
- Comply with all legislative requirements including, but not limited to, FATCA, Concentra, CRA, etc,
- Responsible for the maintenance of internal CAFT originators, including the balancing of internal accounts, set-up and maintenance of AFTs for all Operations teams (lending and investment).
- Maintain professional confidentiality and privacy at all times

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience
A minimum of grade 12 diploma plus one to three years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Key Occupational Skills
- Investment administration and processing knowledge
- Service skills
- Knowledge of credit union products, policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of credit union technology
- Basic computer application skills
- Knowledge of credit union philosophies and principles
- General understanding of credit union operation
- Knowledge of Manitoba estate legislation and regulation is an asset.
LOCATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is anticipated to be a hybrid role, however based on business needs, employees may be required to work in the office during certain time periods. Primary office location can be any head office or branch location that provides the ability to sign documents, retrieve files, and prepare bank drafts.
