Summary
The Packager/Receiver is responsible for all aspects of the packaging and receiving processes, including safety, quality control, material handling, process monitoring, and various support activities. This role is accountable for the verification and maintenance of accurate records on incoming receivables, reconciles BOL's and packaging slips with actual items/packages, and verifies that all incoming goods meet Norseman Structures requirements. The Packager/Receiver will perform general duties, including but not limited to, receiving, picking and packing orders, processing orders in the system, and other related tasks as assigned.

Job Duties
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations; actively promotes safety and encourages safe work practices
- Maintains quality manufacturing practices and processes; follows defined procedures/inspection criteria, and takes appropriate action on actual and potential problems
- Maintains a productive and efficient work environment
- Receive, inspect/audit, pick, pack, and organize all material goods
- Collaboratively & actively communicates with teammates, management, and outside organizations (where assigned) to ensure customer expectations are efficiently & effectively executed
- Is highly organized, while following packaging and receiving processes and procedures
- Detail oriented while preparing products for delivery using a BOL and/or component lists ensuring customer service standards are met
- Ensures packaging of warehouse goods, both purchased and manufacturing, are available, accurately labelled, and organized
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving or manufacturing setting
- Physically fit
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures (imperial measurements) is required
- Ability to use Microsoft Office will be considered an asset
- Ability to use an ERP system will be considered an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines
- Experienced in operating a forklift inside and outside - preferred, but not required
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and ISO standards are considered assets

Work Conditions
- This is a temporary position for approximately 3 months
- This is a plant position located in the Saskatoon Norseman Structures facility
- This is an hourly position with a normal 40 hour work week
- Plant setting, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm; occasional overtime may be required
