About the role
Copper Beach Bar + Kitchen is currently hiring an experienced Chef for our cozy pub that offers a warm atmosphere in the heart of Britannia Beach!

Located at 101 Main St in beautiful Britannia Beach.
Duties:
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and menu execution.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety in all kitchen areas.
- Help with tasks like washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Support kitchen partners in cooking and plating meals according to recipes.
- Properly handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling.
- Keeping workstations clean and organized, ensuring hygiene and safety standards.
- Adhering to kitchen protocols and completing tasks as assigned.
- Collaborating with the kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow
- Assist with stocking and organizing kitchen supplies as needed.
- Unload deliveries, organize food storage, and ensure ingredients are properly stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food delivery areas.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Certifications
- High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous experience as a Sous Chef/Chef
- Professional diploma or food services management preferred
- FoodSafe Level 1 certificate preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling is advantageous
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Passionate to learn and grow within the food and hospitality industry
- Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends
- Must be able to reliably commute to and from Britannia Beach
