Sunbeam Developmental Resource Centre (SDRC) is the single point of access to developmental services for children in the Region of Waterloo. SDRC provides case management and clinical services to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders. SDRC also assists them and their caregivers in connecting with community services and supports. SDRC’s services are available to children and adults with developmental disabilities in Waterloo Region (www.sdrc.ca)

We are presently inviting applications for the position of Clinical Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours Monday – Friday, including occasional evenings, along with on-call hours. The successful candidate will be based out of our Kitchener location but will be required to travel within and outside of Waterloo Region.

Position Overview:

    • The Clinical Supervisor will clinically oversee Applied Behaviour Analysis services within Sunbeam’s fee-for-service program.
    • You will oversee the planning, development, and coordination of behaviour service plans, supporting their effective implementation to individuals who may or may not have an Intellectual Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
    • This position will provide clinical supervision, training and leadership to a team of Instructor Therapists delivering behaviour services based on ABA.

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct and/or oversee functional and behavioural assessments (e.g., FBA, ABLLS, VB-MAPP, etc.) and interpret results to inform individualized support plans and/or behaviour support plans.
    • Design, implement and oversee individual treatment programs for clients.
    • Meet with families to update/review client progress and provide caregiver training related to behavioural intervention at centre, in-home and in the community.
    • Provide oversight of the intake process for comprehensive ABA services including:
        • Meeting with potential clients to review services
        • Completion and review of service agreements
        • Overseeing the wait list for comprehensive services
        • Assignment of clients to instructor therapists
    • Conduct regular on-site supervision of direct service delivery to monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and maintain accurate data collection ensure quality and evidence-based service delivery.

    • Train, coach, supervise and evaluate staff delivering intervention plans.
    • Ensure clinical programs are delivered according to prescribed standards of service and clinical practice
    • Ongoing adherence to all aspects of the Standards of Professional Conduct, as outlined by the College of Psychologists & Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)
    • Provide clinical supervision hours to supervisees seeking registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
    • Work in partnership with community agencies and stakeholders to deliver coordinated and integrated services.

Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a related discipline.
    • Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA-ONT) designation in Ontario (or eligibility).
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive clinical experience working with children or adults with ASD and Intellectual Disabilities.
    • Supervisory experience in behaviour programming.
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
    • Current certification in CPI-Prepare Training is required (or must be prepared to obtain.)
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Flexible and responsive to urgent needs in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient with electronic documentation and virtual service delivery platforms.
    • Commitment to culturally responsive and family-centered practices.
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (travel within/outside Waterloo Region required).
