Technical Support Representative - Lighting Fixtures

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the responsibility of the Technical Solutions Manager, the Technical Support Representative - Lighting Fixtures provides technical expertise and in-depth advice for various lighting fixtures customization requests and collaborates in resolving problems with the products in order to meet and satisfy the customer needs.

Description of tasks

  • Provide technical expertise and in-depth advice for various customer technical requests and collaborate to solve lighting fixtures customization request problems in order to meet and satisfy customer needs according to established standards of deadlines, follow-up and resolution;
  • Receive, analyze and verify the feasibility of special luminary requests;
  • Establish prices for modified and custom products;
  • Analyze, verify and solve the information blockages of the Feasibility lines (Dynamics AX) in progress;
  • Communicate with customer service, Technical sales, and if necessary with external sales representatives or Regional Sales Managers in order to collect and synthesize the necessary information;
  • Ensure effective communication between the various stakeholders who must be involved;
  • Sort and organize the priorities of the requests and coordinate the work so that these are respected;
  • Ensure rigorous follow-ups for the progress of projects and work so that standards and deadlines are respected.
  • If necessary, request a feasibility check from the Special Products Team Leader by actively participating in the search for technical solutions;
  • Support colleagues;
  • Complete the documentation associated with the work;
  • Keep inside sales representatives and other stakeholders informed as needed on the progress of the resolution and decisions;
  • Collaborate in the implementation of tools to improve response times;
  • Process requests for standard or customization of imported products and iGuzzini and Simes replacement parts not available on the NA website;
  • Creation of temporary codes in the ERP system (AX);
  • Participate in team meetings ;
  • Carry out any other related tasks that may help in carrying out the projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solving problems creatively;
  • Have knowledge of electrical codes and working knowledge of the lighting segment of the business;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and the Google Office suite;
  • Knowledge of lighting desired;
  • Understanding of lighting concepts and photometric units (Lumens, Candela);
  • Knowledge of power supplies (drivers);
  • Knowledge of control systems;
