Village Ice Cream is on an exciting journey to find our new full-time Store Manager for our Bridgeland location! As a recognized member of, and advocate for the communities we serve, we’re looking for someone who is collaborative, a skilled communicator, and passionate about the customer experience and operational excellence. As Store Manager, you will be the lead culture setter and role model for your team. In any given week, you will split your time between high-level meetings with your colleagues from other locations, tackling opportunities to achieve exceptional hospitality, and of course, scooping alongside your team. You’re amazing at this role if the people in your life would describe you as a natural coach, organized, adaptive, and a self-starter. As Store Manager with Village Ice Cream, you will:
- Create and maintain a healthy team environment for up to 25 Scoopers.
- Onboard and train new Scoopers to meet seasonal demand.
- Engage in regular performance management including scoop weighing, product knowledge tests, and hospitality training.
- Facilitate strong working relationships between the front of house and back of house.
- Create and implement new strategies for delivering exceptional hospitality and operational excellence.
- Create and manage weekly shift schedules to meet labour cost targets.
- Execute strategies to improve operational efficiencies.
- Take ownership of deep cleaning, repairs and maintenance, and general upkeep of facilities.
- Respond to and/or coordinate coverage during store emergencies and staffing shortages as required.
- Manage store inventory, place orders, and maintain strong working relationships with our suppliers and trades.
- Participate in company events, initiatives, and campaigns and contribute to employee engagement.
- Ensure all scoopers follow Company policies as well as proper food health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

- Have experience in and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a restaurant or retail environment.
- Have a strong desire to develop your management skillsets and truly enjoy leading and developing others.
- Are a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a team or collaborative environment.
- Have exceptional organizational skills.
- Can maintain flexibility in your schedule and are able to respond to store emergencies and/or staffing shortages.
- Receive fulfillment from truly getting to know and understand people.
- Are very comfortable working with a diverse group of people.
- Are immersed in local food culture and have a strong desire to be a part of an entrepreneurial company.
Our compensation offer for this role includes:
- Full time, salaried position based on competitive pay grades.
