Job Description

AXISCADES is hiring a Propulsion Systems Engineer to support Bombardier's next-generation aircraft programs in Montreal, QC. The ideal candidate will have strong aerospace systems engineering experience with propulsion, fuel, powerplant, or APU systems, along with aircraft certification and system integration expertise.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate aircraft propulsion systems (Fuel, Powerplant, FTIS, APU, etc.). Define system architecture, requirements, and perform trade studies. Manage system integration with avionics, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Prepare and review engineering documents, test procedures, certification reports, and technical analyses. Support aircraft testing, troubleshooting, validation, and certification activities. Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams. Investigate technical issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support production and in-service aircraft engineering activities.

Required Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 7–12 years of aerospace engineering experience. Strong knowledge of propulsion systems, fuel systems, or powerplant integration. Experience with DO-160 and ARP4754A. Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, gas dynamics, and control systems. Experience with aircraft system integration and certification. Knowledge of engineering simulation tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel for short-term assignments.
