Job Description

What’s the opportunity?

At RBC Borealis, you’ll be part of a fast paced, dedicated, and passionate product team that works directly with engineering, product management, machine learning researchers, and advisory teams to deliver AI solutions that create value to our RBC clients. Our mission is to think big and go beyond what’s possible today to help unlock the full potential of AI for RBC.

The Lumina AI and Data team is at the forefront of creating the next generation platform that empowers all teams at RBC to build innovative AI solutions. Our goal is to empower our customers to create transformative AI and ML solutions off data that they securely store in our compliant data platform, to create new and innovative experiences for their customers – all while helping to accelerate RBC’s AI digital transformation.

As a Senior Product Manager on the Lumina Product team, you’ll get a chance to build and lead a portfolio of innovative AI and Data platform products for RBC and partner with enterprise teams to use and continuously improve them. You will be responsible for defining and delivering products that solve high-impact business problems and driving the strategic product roadmaps for your portfolio with the support of the engineering, advisory and research teams.

Lumina is a platform that targets personas ranging from data engineers, software engineers, machine learning researchers and business analysts, so you’ll need to have the technical background to truly understand the users that we’re building for; at the same time, you’ll need to have the product chops to help deliver and grow a product that users will love and solves real customer and business problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Development:

    • Define ‘what’ and ‘why’ the platform should build, and what business and user problems they will solve;
    • Work closely with customers and key stakeholders to derive insights to inform product strategy and planning;
  • Product strategy:

    • Own and execute the product vision and roadmap for your areas of the platform;
    • Define and track product OKRs and KPIs, and drive the team to achieve them;
  • Product Growth:

    • Drive growth and consumption of the platform through the product to achieve our overall product KPIs;
    • Increase adoption and retention of the platform by understanding product consumption and customer needs;
  • Product Evangelism:

    • Drive GTM (go to market) excitement and awareness of our platform across all enterprise teams at RBC;
    • Host tech talks, webinars, lunch and learns and product showcase events to drive visibility of our platform;
    • Build and showcase product POCs and demos with engineering;
  • Stakeholder management:

    • Act as the glue across disciplines and between organizations to ensure Lumina’s product vision, strategy, roadmap and progress is clear and transparent across all levels of the organization;
    • Communicate product strategy and updates to senior leadership within Lumina and across the enterprise.

You're our ideal candidate if you have:

  • At least 5+ years of product management experience in a top-tier technology company, with a focus on AI or machine learning products;
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus;
  • Strong product leadership skills and the ability to own a portfolio of products end-to-end independently. You have a track record of successful product deliveries;
  • Demonstrated technical depth with solutions leveraging generative AI, ML, LLMs, or cloud services architecture through shipped products or solutions;
  • Track record of success in planning and delivering B2B commercial SaaS or enterprise technology solutions from pitch and envisioning to pilot and adoption;
  • Experience presenting and explaining product and technology topics in-depth to executive and technical audiences;
  • Strong communicator (written, verbal) and collaborator, and can influence both technical and business stakeholders;
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Strong foundation in finance and in global markets;
  • Well versed with the core areas of machine learning and have experience with machine learning platforms and deploying models at scale;
  • Experience building developer platform products;
  • Experience working on UX and front end development.

What’s in it for you:

  • Be part of a dynamic & flexible working environment
  • Become part of a team that thinks progressively and works collaboratively. We care about seeing each other reach full potential
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock options where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact from a local-to-global scale.
