We are looking for an Associate to join our Fund Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build strong technical foundations through hands‑on execution, exposure to alternative investment funds, and collaboration with a supportive team.
Associates are responsible for delivering accurate fund accounting work, supporting client and investor requests, and operating within established processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Fund Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accounting data for assigned funds.
- Assist with NAV calculations, investor allocations, and supporting schedules.
- Record routine accounting entries, including expense accruals and fee calculations.
- Reconcile cash and portfolio activity to source data.
Client, Investor & Payments Support
- Support routine client and investor requests under the guidance of Senior Associates or Managers.
- For select smaller or straightforward clients, act as a day‑to‑day contact for basic queries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Work with Investor Relations teams to support investor requests and provide required information.
- Assist with the payment process by reviewing invoices for completeness and accuracy and submitting processing tickets to internal teams.
- Support payment tracking and follow‑ups as needed.
Audit & Team Support
- Assist with external audits and tax processes by gathering documentation and preparing schedules.
- Work closely with team members, follow established procedures, and escalate questions or issues appropriately.
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as required.
Key Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior accounting or finance experience (internships or entry‑level roles welcome).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills (English B2+ or equivalent).
- Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work within structured processes.
- Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Archway) or capital markets exposure is an asset, but not required.
