About the role
ROLES
- Accountable for product costing.
- Provide financial analysis–based recommendations to support budget forecasting and facilitate effective decision‑making.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze profit margins to identify improvement opportunities and optimize overall business profitability.
- Support operations in assessing the feasibility of capital investments.
- Cost technical changes to bills of materials.
- Contribute to the development and management of financial analysis tools for the Laval facility, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Perform annual updates of standard costs.
- Manage and analyze inventory, including physical counts, and oversee the assessment of obsolete inventory.
- Participate in budget preparation for Laval plant and DC.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly management reports offering a detailed overview of the Laval site’s financial performance.
- Month / Year end Close
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
REQUIREMENTS (Education – Experience – Skills) Education
- University degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation (asset).
Experience
- Five (5) years as a Plant Controller or similar position
- Experience with SAP (asset).
Skills
- Advance bilingualism.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Solid knowledge of current accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel).
- Results‑oriented.
