The Relationship Manager, Equity Plan Solutions develops solid, long-term professional relationships with clients and prospects. They will identify, and refer new business opportunities to the Head of Client Management and will follow-up with existing customers in an effort to improve service and customer value.
This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
- To ensure TSX Trust EPS mandate is achieved, develop relationships with Plan Sponsor contacts and understand and communicate Plan service requirements internally.
- Communicate and coordinate servicing and operational activities with the appropriate departments within the organization.
- Day to day direct interface with clients, managing requests and inquiries, and investigate/resolve if required.
- To ensure Employee Plans are being administered according to Plan rules/ terms as agreed upon.
- Review, approve, and/or disseminate EPS participant communication, if applicable
- Provide training to clients on Plan Sponsor tools and communicate procedural and/or regulatory/ government changes.
- Update Plan Sponsor information and contacts on Salesforce, and/or other databases.
- Manage projects and special events for existing clients (i.e., corporate actions, new Plans, account clean up, etc.).
- Create maintenance tickets (MTR), if applicable and/ or update accounts upon request.
- Process grant transactions (i.e., cancellation, acceleration, and or release) and/or prepare files for release.
- Create/update support tickets and follow up on outstanding tickets.
- Update WEB content (i.e., menu mapping, update EPS content, add client documentation, etc.) if applicable.
- Participate in testing in the UAT environment (i.e., new functionality, Plan changes, etc.).
- Review and negotiate client agreements, create and/or update/ maintain documentation such as desk operating procedures, client specific training guides (if applicable), Certificate of Authority, Tax Direction, etc.
- To ensure clients are accurately billed and if accounts are in arrears, actively follow up.
- To ensure TSX Trust EPS mandate is achieved
- Other activities as directed by Head of Client Management, EPS.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
- Financial services industry experience, an asset
- At least 1 year experience with Employee Plans
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in client management, with a focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access
- Communication: Effective written, verbal and listening skills
- Adaptable: Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects and ability to prioritize
- Client Service Orientation: develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external clients. Proven ability to understand clients’ needs and develop the appropriate solutions
- Confidentiality: Show discretion and ability to handle confidential issues
- Independent worker: High level of self-motivation and at ease working independently when necessary
- Interpersonal skills: Pleasant, diplomatic manner and disposition in interacting with management, co-workers and the general public
- Organization & Detail Oriented: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relationship Building: Experience building successful internal/external relationships
- Teamwork: Works well in a team environment, actively contributes to the success of the group
- Working under pressure: Poised, works well under pressure and accomplishing short and long term deadlines
Nice Haves:
- Canadian Securities Course or Equity Compensation Associate an asset
- Bilingual French/English an asset
Salary Range: 70,000/year - 80,000/year CAD
