About the role

Supervising students and supporting faculty across multiple areas of applied learning, including projects across all years of the Degree Program and associated courses. Student supervision requires knowledge of on-set production safety and operations.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising students and supporting faculty in applied learning areas within their expertise. Candidates must have knowledge of appropriate On-Set/Lab/Workshop Safety protocols and the ability to create a safe and inclusive working environment.

On-Set Safety Lab Supervision Candidates must have knowledge of appropriate On-Set/Lab/Workshop Safety protocols and the ability to create a safe and inclusive working environment.

Location Sound Lab Supervision includes classroom, workshop, and on-set and instructional support. Industry experience in film television and related media location sound recording and boom operator experience is necessary.

Post Production Lab Supervision involves supporting faculty and supervising Post-Production students in an applied learning environment across all 4 years of the degree program. Successful candidates will have advanced knowledge and experience in post-production digital workflow from pre-production to delivery across a wide range of platforms.

Successful candidates should demonstrate proven strategies for working with and assessing a wide range of students with diverse backgrounds and will be required to engage in program development and departmental initiatives.

Experience, competencies & qualifications

  • Diploma in Fine Arts or Film Production and/or a combination of professional, educational and equivalencies is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Current practice and in-depth knowledge of the Subject/Practice applied for.
  • Strong knowledge of Production On-Set Safety and Post-Production workflow.

Previous experience working and collaborating within a large and diverse team is required
