Compensation And Benefits
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,172.50 to $2,330.77+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
- Benefits: This position is eligible to enroll in company subsidized medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, life/disability options; season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary The Wedding and Group Coordinator is the primary liaison between group leaders and the resort's many services. The coordinator plans, organizes, documents and coordinates all group related details for indoor functions and assists in overall organization of the event. The individual must be able to have positive face to face interactions with clients and build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders in other divisions at Copper Mountain. This person should be sales oriented, self-motivated, guest oriented, and a problem solver. Creativity, upselling and solid coordination skills a plus. Delphi knowledge a plus. Must be capable of working long hours. Days and hours will vary according to group and event schedules. Most weekends required in summer season.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison between planner and all Resort LOBs.
- Ensure all of Copper is aware of the groups and the details/logistics of the events.
- Advise & guide Wedding, Meeting and Event Planners on logistics of the function. Upsell all LOBs when possible.
- Additionally set and follow all due dates in Delphi FDC for tracking purposes and guest delivery.
- Evaluate group and event needs to best utilize available conference and banquet facilities most efficiently.
- Set dates to review room blocks and group pickup. Continually review rooming lists up to day of arrival.
- Coordinate entertainment, special activities, transportation and other arrangements with internal and external partners.
- Upsell food and beverage whenever possible.
- Follow due dates for all deposits in FDC, collect and send to Copper Accounting.
- Invite all key stakeholders to resume meeting, BEO meeting & pre/posts cons.
- Understand all LOBs where group can make a financial contribution.
- Problem solver between Planner and Resort. Provide excellent guest service by being present at most, if not all guest functions prior to start time.
- Run all BEO meetings efficiently. Check all BEOs prior to distribution.
- Establish master account requirements and special billing procedures for each group and event. Be sure there is approval from Accounting.
- Review and bill group accounts within 72 hours of the event conclusion or sooner whenever possible.
- Manage office responsibilities as needed.
- Assist sales in an as-needed capacity in the re-booking of group accounts. Be sure SM has a trace to follow-up.
- Evaluate opportunities and improvements for future business with the sales team. Request referrals from the group leaders (planners).
- Cultivate existing and future business for long-standing relationships.

- Knowledge of Delphi, SMS, Microsoft Office suite, Meeting Matrix preferred including general computer skills
- Previous administrator/coordinating experience
- Strong Communication skills
- Bachelor's or associates degree in hospitality/guest services preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in resort/guest service area.
- A highly organized and detail-oriented person with leadership abilities along with the skills to make quick decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple groups and tasks at one time.
- Must be a team player and assist with other groups and events when needed.
