The challenges ahead

Reporting to the deputy management, you will provide both organizational and operational leadership. You will support the overall vision of the City’s digital transformation and take charge of the planning, orchestration, and integrated governance of interdependent, high-criticality projects. You will also play a transversal governance role and ensure the coordination of IT and business project managers involved in the various programs.

You navigate complex environments, influence at the executive level, and ensure the delivery of measurable and sustainable benefits both technologically and organizationally.

You will assess and recommend the human, material, and financial resource needs required for the smooth running of the activities under your responsibility and manage the budgets allocated to you. You will submit detailed reports and will be called upon to make presentations regarding the activities for which you are responsible.

Results-oriented, you will guide, direct, and supervise the members of the program team under your charge in achieving their respective mandates, determine the overall order of priorities, set objectives, and communicate your expectations.

More specifically, you will:

  • Manage the program governance at a strategic level, including accountability to senior management.
  • Supervise several project managers, ensuring alignment between different initiatives
  • Ensure the integration of projects within an overall vision, including managing interdependencies, shared resources, cross risks, scope, and integrated change control.
  • Develop and implement an engagement and communication strategy to mobilize stakeholders and foster program buy-in.
  • Be responsible for budget monitoring and the management of financial, material, and human resources of the programs.

The ideal profile for us

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, computer science, or a relevant discipline;
  • Hold a graduate diploma or a master's degree in project management (asset);
  • Hold PMP certification;
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience including experience in managing large-scale programs*(experience in the public sector will be considered an asset).*
