Join our Environmental Services (EVS) team as we work together to create a cleaner, safe work environment and patient care setting for our facility .
We are currently seeking a Coordinator to join our Environmental Support Services team.
The Coordinator is responsible for assisting leadership with the day-to-day operations, direction and supervision of EVS staff and designated EVS functions (Housekeeping, Linen Service, Laundry and Waste Management).
Employment Status: Full-time
Hours Of Work Location: Wilson Site
Labour Group: Non Union
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Support Services
Position Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day leadership and direction to EVS front-line staff and leads (Housekeeping, Linen, Laundry, Waste Management).
- Coordinates daily work assignments, schedules, training, and orientation and maintains all required documentation.
- Supports performance management, attendance management, coaching, and return-to-work processes in alignment with organizational procedures.
- Establishes and maintains standardized procedures, cleaning schedules, and service routines to ensure high-quality and safe service delivery.
- Conducts quality assurance activities, including audits and third-party cleanliness reviews, and implements corrective action plans.
- Oversees supply and equipment management, including inventory control, vendor coordination, and recommendations for purchasing or replacement.
- Participates in service planning, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and interdepartmental collaboration to enhance service efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School diploma , equivalent , or h igher education required.
- Completion of an approved post-secondary co urse or certification in Hous ekeeping Supervision or Management require
- B achelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred
- Minimum (5) years' recent related experience in service management in health facilities, including operational experience with quality assurance programs and Environmental service policy and procedures within a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated leadership ability and highly developed interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to client-focused services and teamwork.
- Ability to integrate administrative, professional and operational aspects of the department throughout the facility in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to develop and nurture an environment where quality improvement principles are embraced and used on a continuous basis.
- Ability to utilize related equipment such as various word processing and spreadsheet applications, including all MS Office applications.
- Completion of relevant health care administration courses and graduation from a recognized Health Care training course are assets.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required
