About the role
The Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union is looking for energetic, motivated people to fill the position of:
Branch Manager
Torbay Road
As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the direct day-to-day branch operations, which encompasses all areas of member service, including personal and commercial lending and investments. You will be accountable for leading a team of financial service professionals in meeting service and growth objectives. As an integral part of a progressive management team, you will foster the continued success of our Torbay Road branch.
Acting as a mentor/role model, the Branch Manager motivates and develops the team through coaching, training and performance management. In preparing the branch business plan, the Branch Manager establishes goals and regularly follows up to ensure goals are being met. With a high quality of member service as a top priority, developing the team becomes fundamental in the retention of existing, and attraction of new member relationships. The Branch Manager uses their knowledge of risk management and exercises sound judgement in decision making.
To be successful in the Branch Manager role, you must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the financial service industry, a minimum of 3 years’ with direct leadership responsibilities and secondary school supplemented with post-secondary training in business or related field. You will apply your leadership, financial, and business development skills to motivate, develop and challenge your team. Ideally suited for this position is an enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident individual. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
