Topics include: Sampling distributions, point estimation, confidence intervals, testing (Neyman-Pearson Theorem, uniformly most powerful test, likelihood ratio tests), unbiasedness, consistency, sufficiency, complete statistics, and exponential family; Fisher Information and the Cramer-Rao inequality; simple linear models. Estimated course enrolment: 160 Number of positions: 1 SIA Size of appointment: 50 hrs Sessional dates of appointment: July 7, 2026 - August 31, 2026  Tutorial/Lab Schedule:  Mon & Wed. 2:00 -3:00 PM (for TUT0101) Salary: $54.27/hour + 4% vacation pay Minimum qualifications: knowledge of probability theory, statistical inference, calculus; Completion of the course and several other Stats courses with high grades, strong interpersonal and communication skills Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
