About the role
Welcome to Fable, where we make beautiful, functional home decor. We design pieces that are made to last and meant to be lived with — bringing better to every home, one ritual at a time.
Role Impact: Fable is looking for a Marketing Manager, Growth to own how we find our next customer — and how we do it at a scale that shouldn't be possible for a team our size. This is a player-coach role. You'll build the acquisition strategy and you'll be the one running it: fluent in Meta and Google, sharp on ecommerce economics, and genuinely excited about where AI is heading.
You don't need to build agents from scratch. You do need to be the kind of person who reaches for them first — using AI tooling and MCP connections to manage accounts, read signal, and move budget, rather than clicking through campaign builders by hand. We'd rather hire someone deeply curious about AI development than someone who's spent five years in Ads Manager doing it the old way.
Responsibilities
Own paid acquisition end to end across Meta and Google — strategy, structure, budget, bidding, testing, and reporting. You're in the account daily, not just reading the dashboard. Build acquisition across our full catalog and product categories — tabletop, rugs, and future hero products. Each has its own margin profile, buying cycle, and customer. You'll know which product opens the relationship and which one deepens it. Manage acquisition across very different order values, from a single mug to a full table setting. Build the CAC targets, audience strategy, and creative approach that make sense at each tier — and know when a low-AOV entry point is worth it and when it isn't. Write the growth strategy, then go execute it. You'll set the plan, the targets, and the priorities — and you'll be the one in the accounts making it real. Use AI agents and MCP-connected tooling to manage our ad accounts rather than building every ad by hand. Budget pacing, anomaly flagging, creative iteration, audience refreshes, reporting, QA — if it can be delegated to an agent, delegate it, and spend your time on the thinking only you can do. Help us run many platforms from a single seat. Meta and Google are the core, but the surface area keeps growing — programmatic and non-programmatic direct mail, expansion into Reddit and Snapchat, and whatever earns its place next. You won't be engineering the tooling from the ground up, but you'll be hands-on with it, opinionated about it, and quick to adopt what's new. Partner with Creative to brief, test, and scale performance creative. Feed the team real signal on what's working, not just a list of winning thumbnails. Work closely with our Retention and Brand teams so the customers we acquire are the ones who come back — and so paid always sounds and looks like Fable. First order is the beginning of the story, not the end of it. Own the numbers: blended CAC, MER, ROAS by product and AOV band, contribution margin, payback period. Build the reporting, hold the point of view, and bring it to the table. Run a real testing roadmap. New channels, new formats, new audiences, new offers. Kill what isn't working quickly and without ceremony. Stay ahead of where paid and AI are going. Both are moving fast. We want someone who's already three steps into the next thing.
In this role we value
4+ years in growth or performance marketing, ideally at a DTC or ecommerce brand with a multi-product catalog. Deep, hands-on fluency in Meta Ads and Google Ads. Not agency-managed, not "oversaw." You've built the campaigns and owned the outcomes. A real grasp of ecommerce economics — AOV, LTV, contribution margin, payback, unit economics. You can tell the difference between growth and expensive noise. Experience selling multiple products within one brand, and the instinct for how to merchandise a catalog through paid media rather than flogging a single SKU. Genuine AI fluency. You use it structurally, not occasionally — and you're keen to go deeper. Familiarity with agents, MCP, or connected tooling is a strong plus; a real appetite to learn it fast is essential. Comfort setting direction and doing the work. You can write the strategy on Monday and be optimizing against it on Tuesday. A systems mindset. You'd rather set up the thing that does the work than do the work twice. Comfort in ambiguity and a small team. There's no one to hand this to. That's the appeal. Strong writing and clear thinking. You can turn a messy account into a one-paragraph point of view. An eye for design and a feel for brand. Performance and taste aren't in conflict here. Genuine interest in the home, design, and the kind of products we make.
Compensation and perks
A competitive salary with path for annual bonus. A monthly $200 allotment for you to spend on personal wellness. Fully remote team. Work wherever you want in the world. All you need is wifi and a laptop. Top-tier benefits and flexible vacation policy. Complimentary dinnerware.
We believe that unchecked biases disproportionately impact the most marginalized people in society—including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+ people, immigrants, and people with disabilities. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or other marginalized communities because we believe that without you, we are all less. At Fable, we don't stand for tokenism. We stand for representation.
